Eager to accelerate the Breton sports movement's ecological and solidarity-based transition, the Comité Régional Olympique et Sportif de Bretagne (CROS Bretagne) and the association Football Écologie France (FEF) have decided to join forces. The two organizations have just signed a partnership agreement with high ambitions to enable Breton sport to become more eco-responsible.

Two players, one vision of sustainable sport

CROS Bretagne via its DIOREN scheme, supports the Breton sports movement (events and structures), towards a responsible and supportive approach. Since 2017, the regional quality approach charter has notably enabled 58 sporting events to be supported and thus improve their practices to reduce the environmental impact of Breton sport. Through the network of DIOREN signatories, CROS is also seeking to facilitate the sharing of best practices and thus promote the fine actions of Breton players.

For several years now, Football Écologie France has been mobilizing the various players in the world of soccer around the ecological transition. In particular, the Breton branch supports a number of clubs on this subject, and carries out various awareness-raising actions throughout the region, such as at the Dirinon International Tournament and the FCGM Champions League. The association has also developed various tools (Ecological Football Fresco, ecological diagnosis, etc.) as well as a unique concept of civic commitment: eco-support.

Supported by the Brittany Region, the two associations intend to join forces to enrich their respective actions and amplify the impact of their messages in the field.

Towards a stronger regional dynamic

CROS Bretagne and FEF, two non-profit associations of general interest, are committed to advancing the sports movement in the ecological and solidarity-based transition. This partnership will strengthen cooperation between Brittany's sports networks and create new synergies. The aim is to strengthen exchanges, and in particular the sharing of tools and resources to help Breton sport move forward. Members of the DIOREN network, for example, can call on FEF to run workshops for the Fresque Ecologique du Football, or for an ecological diagnosis of their structure. To ensure complementary actions, FEF will relay the actions and workshops proposed by CROS Bretagne.

CROS Bretagne will also be taking part in the regional "Football and Ecological Transition" committee initiated by FEF, whose program will be launched at the start of the 2025 academic year to support clubs in their transformation, enabling a link to be made with best practices across all sports.

By pooling their expertise and networks, CROS Bretagne and Football Écologie France aim to accelerate the ecological transition of Breton sport. A collaborative dynamic for a more responsible, supportive and forward-looking sport.
